Voluntary Return in 2024 - a Year in Numbers

In 2024, IOM facilitated the departure of 2,083 migrants, of whom 1,066 departed under the EU-funded AVRR-NL 2022–2024 Return project. In addition, 1,357 returnees were eligible for reintegration support under the AVRR-NL 2022–2024 Reintegration project, and 184 returnees were eligible for assistance with medical costs following return under the same project.

In total, during the 2022–2024 project period, the EU-funded AVRR-NL Return and AVRR-NL Reintegration projects contributed to the departure of 4,315 migrants, reintegration support for 3,315 migrants, and medical support for 543 migrants.
