We have extended our measures to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus. Like many others, we experience this time as very challenging, and we are sorry that we are unable to maintain face-to-face contact with our partners and especially with our target group at the moment. Naturally, we follow the measures taken by the Dutch government and the majority of our colleagues works from home.
As for now, face-to-face consultation hours will not take place for migrants wishing to leave the Netherlands until 20th May 2020. However, we can be reached by phone. For questions, you can still contact us on 088 7464466.
For the time being, resettlement cases - which IOM organises in cooperation with the Central Agency for Asylum Seekers- will also be suspended until mid-June.
Even though we mainly work from home, this does not mean that we are currently inactive at IOM. In recent weeks we have been able to support several groups of migrants to leave the Netherlands. See the figures below. Guidance at the airport is of course carried out according to the RIVM guidelines.
Activities are also taking place in our other projects, even though remotely. For example, we have organized a webinar for our project MATCH. With 40 participants, the first edition was already a success. A second webinar will be held on May 19th, more information can be found here.
In addition, we are currently busy renewing the web presentation of the CD4D and the ED4D project. As soon as we can launch the new website we will announce this here.
